Sleep- and stressmanagement

On the 18th of May this year I will start with a training for sleep and stressmanagement. The training is from Start2Move, just like my course Sports & Nutrition, and it will take place in Amsterdam. It is a two-day training, the second day of training will take place on the 25th of May. Both days the training starts at 10:00 AM and ends at 3:30 PM.

On the first day we will start with the basics; why do we sleep and in which rhythm do we sleep, what causes stress and how do we deal with it?

​

Then the rest of the first day is gonna be focused on stress. What is stress, what causes stress, in which ways do we handle stress, are there any differences? We are also going to discuss the positive and negative sides of stress, what happens in the brain during a period of stress and what it does to our bodies.

​

On the second day we will continue we sleep. How important is it, what causes sleep problems and are there any ways to improve our sleep. The association between sleep and happines is also made quite a lot. We will learn about that as well.

Meditation is a tool to become more relaxed, how can you apply it to your lifestyle and in which way does it benefit you?

At the end of the training we will reflect on what we've learned and I will let you know as well. Just like I will share the information I learn with you on this website, so stay tuned!
